August 1, 2007, morning issue of Hokkaido Shimbun carries an article stating that Nippon Natural Resource Co., Ltd. is going to construct a factory in Abashiri City to accommodate an increased production of calcium from incinerated scallop shell. Hokkaido Venture Capital, Inc. has invested in the company through the Shinkin Regional Vitalization Fund and Hokkaido Bank "Dosanko" No. 2 Fund that it manages.
